Mike will discuss the basics of fluvial geomorphology, and why floodplains and natural sinuosity are important, then will get into details about how climate change may affect our streams (in particular, Lewis Creek), and what we can do to protect brook trout and other cold water species habitats.
This presentation will be followed by a field trip on Sat. Nov. 16 to visit one of the sites chosen by engineers, to discuss potential habitat improvements that could be done to benefit wildlife.
